Emily and Tony’s Greek destination wedding was such an amazing, intimate day. Villa Delenia was the perfect romantic backdrop for this small wedding with 20 of their closest friends and family.

We started the morning joining the bride and groom for a few getting ready photos. To be honest, the morning was so wonderfully relaxed that most people were still having a swim and relax by the pool when we got there!

We could tell straight away how much thought these two had put in to their day. Emily, an avid reader, gave her bridesmaids a vintage book with crochet flowers to carry down the aisle instead of a bouquet. Tony hand crafted the wedding ring box himself. They even had Tony’s grandad conduct the ceremony so they had the most personal marriage that they could. We loved that Emily was walked down the aisle by both of her parents. You could see how much it meant to them to each be holding her hand.

The ceremony took place right beside the pool with views overlooking the Aegean sea. Framed by the old window, you honestly couldn’t have dreamed of a more picturesque wedding. The ceremony was incredibly special. We loved the sand ceremony, where the bride and groom both poured sand in to a glass to symbolise their lives being permanently joined forever.

After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed some cocktails and canap├ęs, while we took Emily and Tony off for their wedding photos. A short walk down the cliff provided the perfect scenery with so many colours and the beautiful sea. On the way back up, they bride and groom wanted to stop for a quick game of tennis (as you do!) and we go a few fun photos of them on the court.

After the relaxed wedding breakfast and hilarious speeches, the guests took the opportunity to dive in to the pool again to cool off, before we watched Emily and Tony’s incredibly special moonlit first dance and cake cutting.

As everything wound down for the night, we headed off to leave them to enjoy the rest of the evening.
